Hebrews 11:19 “He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.”
Lord, You said that whoever believes in You would also do the works that You did
They will do even greater things than these, You said
What did that mean, Lord?
Your Spirit has impressed on me, over the years, that You are far more than an example
You are the sinless Lamb of God, slain before the foundation of the world to bring about salvation to all mankind
Therefore I worship You, and lift high Your name
I praise You for Your great and wonderful works
I extol You for Your heart of compassion, that remembers we are but dust
I lift Your praise before all the world that all might know Your saving grace
And in it I confess that I am utterly unworthy
I am sinful and heart-wicked, and were it not for Your work of regeneration in me, I would have destroyed myself by now
Can such a one as I approach You in faith and ask for Your promises to be kept?
Can I truly call You Father, and Brother?
Can these unclean lips proclaim Your truth? Yet You call me to
And this is surely a greater thing, that the righteous requirements of the Law should be fulfilled in me. In me! Because of You
That the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead should dwell in me
That there is a glory to be revealed in me, one which will never fade or pass away
And in this hope I will ever praise You
My Lord, my Brother, my King. Amen
